Abstract/Paper submission and presentation rules
All abstracts submitted via the online submission form before the deadline (June 8, 2018) will be forwarded to the Scientific Committee (Abstract Review Committee) for review.
All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.
Abstracts submitted by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.
Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract.
Please note, once submitted, your abstract cannot be amended. Please contact the Organizing Secretariat should you need to amend or cancel the abstract.
Confirmation of receipt & notification of decision
You will receive email confirmation that your abstract has been received, indicating the allocated abstract number.
Please refer to this abstract number in all further correspondence regarding the abstract.
Please contact the Secretariat if you submit an abstract and do not receive confirmation that it has been received. Notifications regarding the status of your abstract will be sent once the review process is complete.
Writing & submitting your abstract
Please follow the guidelines below when writing and submitting your abstract/paper.
The abstract should be as informative as possible, standard abbreviations may be used.
It should not contain diagrams/tables/images: these may be added when submitting the paper. Before you begin, please prepare the following information:
- Author’s contact details (email, phone number, postal address)
- Author's and co-Authors’ details (Full first and family name(s), email)
- Affiliation details: institution / company/ University, city, state (if relevant), country
- Abstract title
- Abstract text: The abstract should not exceed 250 words and 1500 characters
- Abstract topic: Please choose from the list of topics
- Keywords: up to 5 keywords may be provided (at least 1 keyword is required to go ahead with the submission)
Notification of acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be sent to the corresponding Author by June 20, 2018 when the system will be opened for paper upload. Only the corresponding Author will receive all information concerning the abstract and will be responsible for informing the other Authors of the status of the abstract.
Authors receiving abstract acceptance are kindly requested to upload their paper by September 1, 2018.
Papers should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc) and PDF (.pdf not zipped) according to the official approved layout (Balkema standard).
Further details on paper submission will be provided at a second stage.
All papers submitted via the online submission form will be forwarded to the Scientific Committee (Paper Review Committee) for review. The Committee may ask to upload a revised version of the paper in case the first submission requires amendments.
The final deadline to re-submit the paper is December 7, 2018.
Presentation at Congress
Instructions for preparation of oral or poster presentations will be sent together with acceptance notifications.
For each accepted paper, at least one Author is expected to attend the congress. Presenting Authors must register by March 1st, 2019.
Accepted papers for which a presenting Author is registered and has paid the registration fee by the set deadline will be scheduled for presentation and included in the Congress Program and Congress Proceedings.
Accepted papers without an associated registered Author will be published in the Proceedings only.
Declaration of consent to publication and assignation of copyright

corrected after final submission and I am aware that it will be published exactly as submitted.
Submission of the abstract constitutes my consent to publication (e.g. on the congress website, programs, other promotions, etc.)
The Abstract Submitter warrants and represents that he/she is the sole owner or has the rights of all the information and content (“Content”) provided to WTC2019 and AIM Group International (Hereafter: “The Organizers”). The publication of the abstract does not infringe any third party rights including, but not limited to, Intellectual Property rights.
The Abstract Submitter grants the Organizers a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the Content.
The Organizers reserve the right to remove from any publication an abstract which does not comply with the above.
I herewith confirm that the contact details saved in this system are those of the corresponding Author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The corresponding Author is responsible for informing the other Authors about the status of the abstract.
